Itinerary: Inside Passage Photo Safari – By land, By Sea, By Air
Day 1
Arrive Juneau and settle in. Welcome dinner.
Day 2
After breakfast, we will meet for orientation, go over itinerary, answer any questions. Best of Juneau van tour/ photo excursion covering the wonders of Juneau and wildlife photo opportunities. Picnic lunch. Continue exploration and photography.

Day 3
After breakfast at your lodging, we leave for Auke Bay where we will meet up with our whale watching captain for a three-hour whale watching tour. Afterwards, we will seek wildlife and landscape opportunities in Juneau as we work out our kinks with our cameras before our trip to Hoonah. Meals provided: lunch
Days 4-5
We drive to the airport for our chartered aircraft over to Hoonah. We will spend the day exploring diverse habitats and photograph one of the largest land carnivores, the Coastal brown bear, roaming Southeast and particularly the island of Chichagof. Throughout the season bears are seen foraging in verdant sedge meadows, bears fish for salmon and dig enthusiastically for clams on the vast tidal flat, and photogenic young cubs interact at length as they “fish” along the river.

The following day we join Hooked Adventure for a six-hour whale watching and marine wildlife safari. We will return to Hoonah and have an opportunity to explore the community of Hoonah, the Eagles nest and several totem poles in the town before boarding our floatplane back to Juneau. You will have free time to download images and rest. Coffee and breakfast at the lodge, lunch after return from whale watching. Water bottles and snacks available on the boat.

Free time to download images and rest upon our return to Juneau late afternoon and/or evening. Dinner will be on your own.
Day 6
After breakfast at your lodging, you will be taken to the Juneau Harbor to board your boat for the tour to Tracy Arm where you will see majestic glaciers that come to the water, spectacular waterfalls, and wildlife from whales to bears to seals. On board you are able to move about, drinks are available…
Dinner on own.
Day 7
Free day to explore (option of choosing tour (bears, whales, van). Meet at 5pm for Farewell Dinner at specified location.
Day 8
Travel Home
This expedition is rated as light; travelers should be in good health and comfortable sitting for extended periods of time. Excursions include safari drives in open vehicles on dusty, bumpy roads; nature walks on uneven terrain; and climbing in and out of a floatplane.
