Lifelong Alaskan photographer specializing in all things Southeast especially unique places accessible by floatplane; focusing on aviation and wildlife.

Nature, landscape and international travel photographer. Focuses mainly on photographing wildlife in Southeast Alaska.

Photos on The Wild Side was born from my love of all things wild and by a strong desire to explore the natural world around me.

I can't imagine anything that would provide the same satisfaction I receive from sharing my work with others, opening their eyes to the wonders around us and helping them appreciate this amazing world around us through art and photography.

Students often ask me how they can take the "perfect picture": The perfect picture is the one that drives you to make another. Each picture enables you to grow and should be viewed as a stepping stone to the next.

Born and raised in Colorado, Kerry learned to love nature, animals and photography at a young age. She slowly moved north and west, and landed in Juneau in 1981 where she has lived ever since. Earning a BA in Environmental Biology, an MS in Forest Ecology, and an MPA in Resource management, she had a successful 30+-year career in the natural resources field. Now retired, she devotes her time to photography and enjoying nature. An award-winning photographer, her photos have been published in various newspapers and magazines. She’d love to share her knowledge and interests with you!

Nature and wildlife photographer. Long time Juneau resident originally from rural Wisconsin.  I enjoy spending time outdoors wildlife viewing and just exploring the world in which we live.
