Pelican... A quaint coastal community.

Recently, I had the privilege of spending the good part of my day exploring the quaint boardwalk city of Pelican. It has been on my radar since my days at TEMSCO in the 80’s where it was the talk of the town due in part to a place called Rosie’s (now closed)… Four wheelers replaced cars as the seemingly main mode of transportation in this community; and most notably was the true sense of a fishing community! The people were extremely friendly and the one mile boardwalk excursion was colorful from boat buoys to large flower arrangements planted in every form of container. Pelican, a special place in southeast Alaska.
